With Antonio López García, Boston, 2008

About

I'm an American artist living in Spain. I first became interested in Spain while researching the work of Antonio López García as an MFA student at the Mt. Royal School of Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I later relocated to Madrid to investigate his work further by completing a masters program in Contemporary Spanish Art History at the Universidad Complutense.

My environment influences my work completely; the architecture of the places I visit, the nature I am drawn to, and the interiors I take refuge in show up regularly in my artwork. Textures and patterns have always caught my eye and are of utmost importance in my realist graphite drawings.
